Thursday Prayer

Nov 13, 2025

Welcome to daily prayer.

This week we are reflecting on the LORD as Yahweh Tsidkenu which means the LORD our Righteousness. Today we rejoice that the righteousness of Christ is not something we produce but a gift that produces fruit in us. As we abide in Jesus, the Righteous One, our lives look more and more like him.

As we begin our prayer now, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the LORD.

Lord, I come to you to be restored. I open my heart to you again. I receive your love and grace that I do not deserve. In this moment, I consecrate myself to you to be completely yours. I draw near to you and I give everyone and everything to you.

O Lord, open my lips and my mouth will declare your praise.

A Scripture Reading from Philippians 1:9-11:

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

A Prayer of Adoration:

Righteous Father, I worship you for your great love and righteousness. You gave your only son that we would be restored to you. We love because you first loved us! Jesus, you are my Righteous Savior. You are coming again to make all things new.

Prayer of Confession:

Lord, I don’t want anything to hinder my love abounding but I confess that I often rely on my own strength. I am not alert to the distractions and competing desires that draw me away from you. Forgive me LORD.

Forgive my pride, self-righteousness, and moments of indifference to Your Spirit.

Cleanse me by Your grace, and renew my heart to trust in you. I yield to you today.

A Prayer of Trust:

LORD, you are my righteous savior and my source of hope. I trust that as I rest in your love and keep my eyes on you, you will continue your work in me.

A Prayer of Intercession:

Lord, may your church be a living garden of righteousness—rooted in grace, bearing fruit that nourishes others. Give us a greater revelation of your love and righteousness that we would reflect it in this world. We want to be a people abounding in love.

LORD, give us grace to live with compassion, kindness, humility and gentleness. We want to be a forgiving people and a people of integrity. May your goodness be visible in our church and in this community.

A Moment of Reflection:

LORD, is there any area where I am tolerating unrighteousness in my thoughts, words, or actions and need to surrender it to you?

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

A Closing Prayer:

Father, fill me with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.

Jesus, You have given me the gift of restored relationship with the Father and I love you.

Holy Spirit, fill me, teach me, empower me to walk in step with you.

LORD, May my life bring glory and praise to you!

In the name of Jesus,

Amen.
