Wednesday Prayer

Nov 12, 2025

Welcome to daily prayer.

This week we’re reflecting on Yahweh Tsidkenu which means the LORD our Righteousness.

Today we rejoice that the righteousness of God is given as a gift by faith. Jesus is our righteous Savior.

As we begin our prayer now, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the LORD.

Lord, I come to you tired and in need of your grace.

In this moment, I set aside everything grabbing for my attention.

I surrender my pretending and performing. I look to you for life.

I give everyone and everything to you.

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.

A Scripture Reading from Romans 3:20-26:

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

A Prayer of Adoration:

LORD, you have done something so wonderful for us that it is hard to comprehend. You are the Righteous Savior. You have provided for our salvation in a way that is unimaginable. You gave yourself for us.

You have made atonement for me.

Through Jesus, you stayed true to your justice and made a way for sinners to be forgiven and restored.

You demonstrated your righteousness, faithfulness, your justice.

I don’t have to hide or pretend. I am accepted apart from my works because Jesus Christ is my savior. He is my righteousness.

I needed to be made right and you provided the way and for that, I adore you.
