Sunday Prayer

Nov 9, 2025

Welcome to daily prayer. This week we are reflecting on the LORD as Yahweh Tsidkenu which means the LORD is our righteousness. In the Bible, righteousness is gift, a status, and a way of life. Today we rejoice that Jesus is the source and standard of righteousness and he is the Righteous Savior of his people.

As we enter prayer now, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the LORD.

Lord, I come to you to be restored. To receive your life. Your love. Your grace and mercy that I so desperately need.

I honor you as my LORD and I surrender everything to you.

I give everyone and everything to you God.

O LORD, open my lips and my mouth will declare your praise.

A Scripture Reading from Jeremiah 23:5-6:

“‘The days are coming,’ declares Yahweh,

‘when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,

a King who will reign wisely and

do righteousness and justice in the land.

In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety.

This is the name by which he will be called:

Yahweh Tsidkenu-

The LORD is our righteousness.’”

A Prayer of Adoration:

The days have come! Praise the Righteous King, Jesus. Lord, you reign with righteousness and wisdom. You always do what is right and good.

We find our refuge in you.

You alone are worthy of all my worship. My hearts devotion. All my praise and all my trust. You were willing and able to save and for that, I adore you.

A Prayer of Confession:

“Lord, I confess the ways I’ve chosen selfishness over love, my comfort over compassion, silence instead of standing for what's right.

I have done things I should not have done and have left undone things I should have done. Wash me clean, O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me.”

A Prayer of Trust:

LORD Jesus, you have done what I could not. You are my righteousness, my peace, and my salvation. I look to you for life.

A Prayer of Intercession:

Lord, you said blessed are those who hungry and thirst for righteousness.

Stir within us hunger for right relationship with you and with one another, to see this world made right.

Jesus, would your name be honored in our families, in our church, and in this community by the way we live, love, and trust in you.

A Moment of Reflection:

LORD, would you show me if there is anything in me that is resisting your wisdom and rule and needs to be made right?

LORD, have your way in me. I trust you.

A Closing Prayer:

Lord Jesus you are my Righteousness and my peace. We receive your righteousness as a gift and live from it as a way of life. May we hunger and thirst for you and for your ways. Truly, you are the way of life. May we live in such a way that others taste Your goodness and our drawn to the table of the LORD.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
