Sunday Prayer

Oct 12, 2025

Welcome to Daily Prayer. This week we are reflecting on the name Yahweh Rapha, which means The LORD, your healer. Today we rest in the truth that Yahweh Rapha hears and responds to the cries of His people. He is the Lord Who Heals You.

As we begin our prayer, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the Lord.

A Prayer of Surrender:

Lord, I release all our worries and cares to you.

I let go of everything distracting me from fully focusing on you.

I give everyone and everything to you.

“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.”

A Scripture Reading from Exodus 15:24-27

And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”

And he cried out to Yahweh, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There he made a rule and regulation for them, and there he tested them.

And he said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God and you do what is right in his eyes and give heed to his commands and you keep all his rules, then I will not bring about on you any of the diseases that I brought about on Egypt, because I am Yahweh Rapha (the LORD, your healer).

And they came to Elim, and twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees were there, and they encamped there at the water.

A Prayer of Adoration:

Yahweh Rapha, you are the God who hears the cries of your people. Just as Moses cried to you in the wilderness and you made the bitter waters sweet, I can cry out to you in wilderness times and you will answer me with the sweetness of your presence. I adore you as the God who hears and responds to his people.

A Prayer of Confession:

Lord, I confess that I often find myself in a wilderness of my own making. I neglect to follow Your ways and do what is right in your eyes. I ignore the guard rails you’ve instituted for your glory and my good. Forgive me, Lord. I acknowledge my complete dependence on you. I want to follow your ways at all times and to seek you even in the wilderness times. You alone can help and save.

A Prayer of Trust:

Lord, when I call out to You, You hear me. I do believe, and I ask you to help me in my unbelief. You are near to me in times of abundance and in times of need. You guide my steps and teach me the way that is right. I will listen to your voice and obey your commands. You bind up my broken heart. You restore my soul. You heal my body. You are The Lord Who Heals.

A Prayer of Intercession:

Yahweh Rapha, Be with those who are struggling physically, mentally, or emotionally today. I bring before you those who ache in body, soul, or spirit.

Stir their hearts to look to you and to call out to you. LORD, will you reveal yourself to them as The God Who Heals? Will you let your Presence and comfort be known to them?

A Moment of Reflection

Think about those around you. Who in your life- in your family or community- needs healing in some way?

Speak these names-one by one- before the Lord.

Lord, I ask you to reveal yourself as the God who heals today.

Exodus 15:24-25

And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” And he cried out to Yahweh, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.

A Closing Prayer

Yahweh Rapha, thank you that when I cry out to you, you hear me. You are with me. You are the God Who Heals me. I rest in Your healing presence today.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
