Tuesday Prayer
Welcome to daily prayer. Today we reflect on the promise of the Messiah as the Prince of Peace.
Surrender
LORD Jesus, I surrender my heart to you.
I lay down my fears, doubts, and restless striving.
You are God and I am not.
I give everyone and everything to you.
O LORD, open up my lips and my mouth will declare your praise.
A Scripture Reading from Isaiah 9:6:
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
A Prayer of Adoration:
Jesus, I adore you for your wisdom, strength, and everlasting reign. Your kingdom is one of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. You carry the authority and responsibility to bring peace and justice, and you will not fail. You are the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In the end, every knee will bow and tongue confess that you are LORD.
A Prayer of Confession:
LORD, forgive me for trying to rule my own life. Forgive me for resisting you and holding on to things that divide my heart. Help me not to fear the sword of your truth but to embrace it, trusting that it leads me to wholeness and peace.
Cleanse my heart from fear and impatience. LORD, renew my trust in your reign, and let me rest in your wise and active Presence in my life.
A Prayer of Trust:
LORD, I trust your wisdom and power to accomplish your purposes. I trust that you are the source of peace and you know how to make peace.
Even in uncertainty, you are my strength and hope. You carried my sins on the cross and bear the responsibility to make all things right. I surrender to you and trust that peace and joy flow to faith-filled hearts.
A Prayer of Intercession:
Lord, we pray that you would pour out your Spirit on your church that we would proclaim and embody the values of your kingdom. We particularly pray for families in our church where fear, anger, or division are present. Let your Spirit guide every word and action to reflect your wholeness and life.
Would you bring restoration? Would you bring your wisdom and strength so that the name of Jesus would be honored and glorified?
A Moment of Reflection:
Lord, is there any situation or area of life that I am trying to control that is not mine to carry?
Lord, I give this to you. I trust your leadership.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
A Closing Prayer:
LORD Jesus, I worship you as the Prince of Peace. I trust in you and rest in your wisdom and strength. Let Your peace guard my heart, strengthen my courage, and flow through me to bless others. O Prince of Peace, may your kingdom come and your will be done.
In your name,
Amen.
