Tuesday Prayer

Sep 9, 2025

Welcome to daily prayer. This week we are reflecting on God’s name as a place of safety, strength, and intimacy.  Today, we are reflecting on God’s name as holy and glorious. As we begin our time of prayer now, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the Lord.

As we begin, lets release all our worries and cares to God.

Opening:

Lord, I give everyone and everything to You. I surrender my thoughts, plans, and worries into Your hands. I come before You with a heart ready to praise, worship, and listen.

“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.”

A Scripture Reading from  Psalm 86:12 –

“I will give thanks to You,

O Lord my God, with my whole heart,

and I will glorify Your name forever.”

A Prayer of Adoration:

Father, Your name is holy and glorious. There is no one like You. Your name reminds me of Your purity, Your wisdom, and Your perfect love. I delight in Your presence and rejoice that You are near, not distant. May my heart respond with awe and reverence today.

A Prayer of Confession:

Forgive me, Lord, for times I have treated Your name carelessly or failed to honor you in my words and actions. Forgive me when I rely on my own wisdom instead of seeking You, and when I forget to acknowledge Your power and goodness in the small and ordinary moments of my life.

A Prayer of Trust:

Lord, I trust Your name to guide and protect me today. I believe that Your character and promises are unchanging, and I place my confidence in Your power and presence. Even when I face uncertainty or challenges, I will run to You and find strength, peace, and direction in Your name.

A Prayer of Intercession:

I lift up those who are struggling to experience Your presence today. Strengthen their hearts, calm their fears, and let Your name be a source of joy and hope in every situation.

A Moment of Reflection:

Lord, where in my life do I need to honor Your name more fully today?

Lord, where in my life would you have me honor your name more fully today?

Ask him that question in your own words:

Are there places where I have relied on my own strength instead of trusting You?

Psalm 86:12 –

“I will give thanks to You,

O Lord my God, with my whole heart,

and I will glorify Your name forever.”

Closing Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for the holiness and glory of Your name. May I live today aware of Your majesty, rejoicing in Your presence, and confident in Your guidance. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
