Wednesday Prayer

Sep 17, 2025

Welcome to daily prayer. This week we are reflecting on Elohim—The purposeful Creator God of Genesis 1 who creates and sustains all things by his Word and Spirit. Today we are reflecting on seasons of life—trusting the wisdom of our Creator, finding beauty in each moment, and recognizing the longing He has placed in our hearts.

As we enter prayer now, lets quiet our hearts and minds before the Lord.

Creator God, Here I am. I am available.

I release all the worries and cares of this day into your hands.

Let’s say that to the Lord in our own words.

Lord, I release everything to you.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name:

A Scripture Reading from Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:…

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what Elohim has done from beginning to end.

A Prayer of Adoration:

Creator God, I thank you for the beautiful seasons of life. Thank you for placing within every human heart a longing that only you can satisfy. I worship you as the one who makes everything beautiful at the right time.

A Prayer of Confession:

Lord, forgive me for not paying attention to the times and seasons of my life. There is a time for everything and yet I’m often looking back in regret or looking forward with fear or ungodly ambition. For that, I am sorry. I forget that you can make beautiful things out of dust and that I can trust you no matter what.

I turn to you now as the Creator of seasons and the only one who can satisfy the eternal longing of my heart.

A Prayer of Intercession for Others:

Creator God, I pray for those who are deeply unhappy in their current season of life. May they experience your presence and trust in your goodness in this time.

I also pray for those looking to satisfy their longings in this season but not looking to you. Please reveal yourself to them and open their eyes to see their need for you. May they respond with repentance and faith.

A Moment of Reflection:

Lord, what season of life am I currently in?

How can I enjoy you and the gifts you have given me in this current season of life?

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:…

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what Elohim has done from beginning to end.

A Closing Prayer:

Creator God, I rest today in your wisdom and timing. Thank you that you hold every season of my life in your hands. Teach me to trust you when I don’t understand, to worship you in every season, and to cultivate the eternal longing for you that you have placed within me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
