Monday Prayer

Oct 13, 2025

Welcome to Daily Prayer. This week we are reflecting on the name Yahweh Rapha, which means The LORD, your healer. Today we rest in the palm of God’s sovereign hand. The LORD sees our tears and is moved by our sincere cries for help and healing. He is the Lord Who Heals You.

As we begin our prayer, let’s quiet our hearts and minds before the LORD.

A Prayer of Surrender

LORD, as an act of surrender, I will be anxious for nothing. I present to you every situation, every relationship, every worry, and every fear. And I receive your peace.

I give everyone and everything to You.

“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.”

A Scripture reading from 2 Kings 20:1-6

In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what Yahweh says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”

Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh, “Remember, Yahweh, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of Yahweh came to him: “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of Yahweh. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.’”

A Prayer of Adoration

Yahweh Rapha, I adore You as the Lord and Giver of life. I find great peace in knowing that all of my days are in your hands. I am in awe that you, the Sovereign God, see my tears and hear my cries. My heart matters to you. My prayers matter to you. My life matters to you. I worship you as the God of might and mercy.

A Prayer of Confession

Lord, forgive me for the times when I am so easily discouraged by a bad report— when I wonder, “Do I even matter to God?” Forgive me for turning inward instead of turning to you. I repent and I turn to you now with all my heart.

A Prayer of Trust

Everything in heaven and on earth belongs to you, LORD. You have the authority and power to heal and restore. In your might, You move the hearts of kings, and in your mercy, you hear and respond to my prayers. Because my life belongs to you, I trust that you are always at work for your glory and for my good.

I trust You, Lord.

A Prayer of Intercession

Lord, I pray especially today for those who have received a difficult report about their health or about the health of a loved one. Remind them that you see them. Give them the grace to cry out to you in faith. May they find comfort in turning to you and weeping before you. Yahweh Rapha, heal them touch them with your healing hand. Glorify your great name in and through their lives.

A Moment of Reflection

LORD, where is worry and fear crowding out worship and wonder in my life?

Search my heart, Lord, and cleanse the thoughts of your heart by your Spirit. Any places where I live in worry or fear, I give them to you.

A Closing Prayer

Yahweh Rapha, my times are in your hands. Thank you for hearing my prayers. May I live fully and freely each day that you have appointed for me. I rest in your healing Presence today.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
