Tuesday Prayer

Oct 7, 2025

Welcome to Daily Prayer. This week we are reflecting on God’s personal name, Yahweh. Yahweh is the eternal, self-existent and covenant-keeping God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who is ultimately revealed in Jesus Christ. Today we rest in the truth that Yahweh makes our paths straight when we trust in Him.

As we begin our prayer now, let's quiet our hearts and minds before the Lord.

Prayer of Surrender:

Lord, I let go of everything grabbing for my attention.

I give everyone and everything to you.

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

A Scripture Reading from Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart

  and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,

  and he will make your paths straight

A Prayer of Adoration:

Yahweh, you are the same yesterday, today and forever. You know all things and you invite us to trust you and to surrender to you. I adore you as the one who works all things together for the good of those who love you. You are faithful and good and worthy of my trust.

A Prayer of Confession:

Lord, forgive me for not trusting fully in you. Forgive me for resisting you instead of submitting to you. I confess that I have leaned on my own understanding. I have decided for myself and have sought out the wisdom of this world. I acknowledge my need for you and your wisdom.

A Prayer of Trust:

Lord, I trust you. Yahweh, would you give me wisdom? I submit to you. Guide me in all my ways. You are God. I give myself to you and choose the path you have for me.

A Prayer of Intercession:

Yahweh, I pray for those who feel overwhelmed or anxious today. Be with those who need your guidance and grace. Guard your people from fear and darkness and help us rest in your Name.

A Moment of Reflection

LORD, where are you calling me to trust you more fully today?

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart

  and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him,

  and he will make your paths straight.”

A Closing Prayer

LORD, thank you for being faithful and good. You see all things, and you hold all wisdom and truth. As we trust in you and submit to you, you make our paths straight.

No matter what decisions are before me today, I trust that you will guide me in the path of righteousness for your name’s sake. I give everyone and everything to you.

In the name of Jesus,

Amen.
