Clothed In Love

Colossians 3:12-14 NIV
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
This Christmas season, let’s embrace the spiritual gifts and virtues provided through the Holy Spirit and be “clothed in love” with one another in perfect unity. This passage calls believers to embody the Love of Christ by clothing themselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, with love serving as the bond that unites all these qualities.
This spiritual apparel is especially important this time of year. The holiday season can bring stress and conflict, but this passage reminds us that love is active and practical. By extending forgiveness, showing mercy, and responding with gentleness, we reflect God’s grace and the selfless love Jesus demonstrated. Love is the heart of Christmas—the greatest gift we can give one another.
As we celebrate the Birth of Christ, let us remember that God’s love for us was shown in sending His Son. By embodying these virtues, especially love, we become living examples of His light and hope. Each interaction, even with challenging people or situations, is an opportunity to share God’s grace, peace, and unity.
Embrace your identity in Christ: chosen, holy, and dearly loved. Let love be the clothing you wear, connecting hearts and transforming potential frustrations into opportunities to reflect Jesus. As mission-minded ambassadors of Christ, may each of our walks be so deeply embedded in God’s love and so saturated with these virtues that the lost we encounter that will come to know Him.
Prayer:
Father God, Help us to embody this kind of love. Fill our hearts with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and forgiveness. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us. May Your perfect love be the clothing we wear as we shine Your light to the world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Our annual mission trip is a discipleship journey to New Life Children’s Home in Cieneguilla, Peru. Our team will share Christ’s love by spending time with the children, leading fun activities, and serving through facility repairs and improvements. We’ll also build several shanty homes for homeless widows and children, distribute blankets, and share the gospel. Additional ministry opportunities include serving at a rehabilitation center and participating in Gamarra street ministry, where we’ll distribute Bibles and pray for those we meet.
Our 14th Peru Mission will take place June 5–13, 2026. Singles, couples, and families are encouraged to be part of this life-changing trip.
