Great Joy

----

Luke 2:10-14

But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’

This passage tells us of the announcement of Jesus’ birth to the shepherds in the field by an angel, and the great joy brought by His arrival as our Lord and Savior. This message was one of joy and hope—not just for the shepherds, but for ALL people, regardless of background, status, or circumstance.

Can you even imagine the joy and hope that must have filled the air as the angel shared this most wonderful news of Jesus’ birth?

When we reflect on Jesus’ birth, we find joy and peace in our Lord and Savior. Let

each of us share this exciting news with others—bringing that joy into our homes, our

workplaces, and out into the world.

We can make a difference in someone’s day through acts of love, kindness, encouraging words, and compassion. Let your light shine, and let it touch the lives of those around you.

During the Advent season—and every day of the year—let us remember the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus is the reason for the season!

No matter how busy your day may be- take time to reflect on our Lord and Savior and His promises: the promises of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love for all.

God bless each and every one of you, and may you have a blessed Christmas!

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, We thank You for the gift of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Help us to remember the joy, love, and hope that You bring to each of us. Teach us to share Your love and Your Word with everyone we meet.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
