Tuesday - Thanking God for Working Through it All

Dec 30, 2025

Welcome to Daily Prayer. Today we acknowledge the hand of God in every

aspect of life.

SCRIPTURE

Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

As you look back over the past year, it’s likely that not everything unfolded the way you expected. Some blessings came wrapped in joy; others came disguised in difficulty. There were days that felt heavy and days that felt full of hope. There were moments when God’s nearness was unmistakable, and moments when you had to trust He was working even when you couldn’t feel it.

Yet Romans 8:28 anchors you in a powerful truth: God has been at work in every single part of your story. Not just in the successes, not just in the victories, and not just in the answered prayers—but also in the disappointments, the delays, the tears, the confusion, and even the things you wished would have gone differently.

Sometimes God’s work is loud and noticeable. Other times, it is quiet—like a seed growing beneath the soil, invisible but undeniably alive. But in all cases, He is faithful. He uses what was meant to discourage you to strengthen you. He uses what was meant to break you to build you. He uses what felt wasted to prepare you. He takes every event, every challenge, and every chapter of your life, and He weaves it into His greater purpose.

As you close out this year, let gratitude rise—not because everything was easy, but because God was present through it all. Let your heart be thankful not only for what He brought you through, but for how He shaped you through it. You are not the same person you were 12 months ago. And the same God who carried you through this year will walk beside you into the next.

PRAYER

Father, I come before You with a grateful heart. Thank You for being faithful through every moment of this past year. Thank You for walking with me through the things I celebrated and the things I struggled with. Thank You that nothing I faced was wasted in Your hands. Even when I didn’t understand what You were doing, You were working. Even when I felt uncertain or overwhelmed, You were guiding, shaping, and strengthening me.

Lord, I thank You for the lessons You taught me—the ones I embraced quickly and the ones I learned slowly. Thank You for growing my character, deepening my faith, and showing me that Your plans are greater than my understanding. Thank You for the moments of joy that lifted my spirit and for the moments of hardship that pushed me closer to Your heart.

Lord, as I reflect on this year, I choose gratitude—not because everything was perfect, but because You were perfect in every detail. I thank You for being a God who wastes nothing, who redeems everything, and who works through all things for my good and Your glory.

I give You praise for all You’ve done, for all You’re doing even now, and for all You will continue to do.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

CLOSING

Over the next few moments, take time thanking God for his faithfulness to work all things together for good. When the enemy attacked, it backfired. When the Lord pruned, you became stronger. And even when you were in rebellion, He mercifully has brought you back to Him in this moment. Give heartfelt thanks to Him today.
