Saturday Heart Check - Because He Lives
Welcome to Daily Prayer and our Saturday Heart Check. Take a moment to slow down. Let the noise of the day begin to quiet. You do not need to rush through these next few minutes. Today we will pray for the Lord to search our hearts, our faith, and our insecurities. Father, today we give everyone and everything to you.
Word of Encouragement
This week we have been praying through the passage that is known as the Great Commission. Jesus reminds us that all authority has been given to Him, and He asks us to go into all the world, to rescue His lost sons and daughters, and to teach them how to live life for His Kingdom. Jesus ends with this promise: “I am with you always.” Not occasionally. Not only when you feel it. Always. His presence is constant. In your weak moments and in your strong. In your moments of clarity and in your moments of confusion. When you are walking in obedience, and when you stumble and fall. He is with you. Ask the Lord: How have I been living as if I am alone?
A Prayer of Adoration
Jesus, you are always with me. You are faithful, constant, and near. You never leave. You never withdraw. You are nearer than my fears and stronger than my weaknesses. Your presence is my peace and my confidence. Ask the Lord: Where have I forgotten Your presence?
A Prayer of Confession
Lord, there are places where I’ve felt alone…and places where I’ve acted like you weren’t there. I’ve carried things on my own. I’ve forgotten your presence. Sometimes I become so distracted or overwhelmed that I forget to walk with you. I confess that I often try to carry burdens you never asked me to carry alone. Ask the Lord: Where have I been striving instead of abiding?
A Prayer of Trust
Holy Spirit, I choose to believe your promise. Even when I don’t feel it—you are with me. Even when life feels uncertain—you are near. I choose to lean into your presence instead of withdrawing into fear. Help me remember that you are close in every ordinary moment of my life. Make me more aware of your presence. Help me walk with you throughout my day. Remind me that I am never alone. Train my heart to recognize your voice and your nearness throughout the day. Let my awareness of your presence change the way I think, respond, and live.
Closing Prayer
During these last few moments, do nothing but be still. No words. No requests. Just sit…with Jesus…who is already with you. Give Him time and space to say anything He wants to you. Be filled by His love and presence before returning to your day.
