WEEK 2 - STEWARDSHIP: ALL IS GRACE TO BE SHARED

Day 1 - Tending What Belongs to God

-----

Welcome to Daily Prayer. Today we remember that we are tending what belongs to God.

Genesis 2:15–18 (ESV)

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.’”

-----

An Opening Prayer

Lord, I pause before You in the quiet of this moment. You have placed me where I am, in this season, with purpose and care. I receive this day as a gift from You.

A Prayer Of Adoration

You are the Creator who plants gardens and calls them good. You entrust Your creation to our care and invite us to partner with You in cultivating beauty and life. You are the God who walks with us and provides companionship for the work You’ve given.

A Prayer Of Confession

Forgive me, Lord, for when I treat Your creation—or my responsibilities—as burdens instead of gifts. Forgive me for neglecting the garden You’ve placed me in, or for trying to rule it as if it were mine. Forgive me when I isolate myself instead of embracing community and shared purpose.

A Prayer Of Surrender and Trust

I offer back to You the places and people You’ve entrusted to my care— my family, my work, my home, my community. Teach me to tend, not to control; to cultivate, not to consume. Help me to live today in harmony with You and others, resting in Your design.

A Prayer Of Intercession

Lord, bless the work of my hands and the soil beneath them. Help me to see my labor—in home, in ministry, in creation— as participation in Your ongoing work of renewal. Provide companions and co-laborers who share this calling, so together we might reflect Your love and wisdom.

A Closing Prayer

Thank You, Father, for placing me in Your world, for giving me purpose and relationship. Let me walk with You in the cool of the day, working and resting in Your rhythm. May I tend what is Yours with humility, joy, and faithfulness. Amen.
