Tuesday - Enter In - Week 3

Jan 20, 2026

Welcome to daily prayer. This week we are reflecting on some of the key passages about life together. Today we reflect on Acts 2 and the life of the early church. As we begin our prayer now, let’s pause to be still. Let’s gather our scattered thoughts and remember the LORD.

Lord, thank you for the life that you have given me. Thank you for life, breath, and everything else. Thank you for the covenant you have made with us through Christ. Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Under his covering and authority.

You have brought me out of darkness to declare your praise. O Lord, open my lips and my mouth will declare your praise.

A Scripture reading from Acts 2:41-42

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

A Prayer of Adoration:

Lord, thank you for all your gifts. For your Word, Your People, baptism, the Lord’s Supper. For the words of the gospel and the symbols of the gospel. All these ways you encourage us and remind us of your saving work and love. Thank you that you hear us when we pray.

Jesus, you have saved us from the wrath to come and you have secured for us hope and a future. You have inviting us into your family by simple repentance and faith. You have given us so many ways to remember your goodness and for that, I adore you.

A Prayer of Confession:

Lord, I confess that I have not completely devoted myself to your Word, Your People or to prayer. I accept the parts I like and ignore the parts that I don’t. This is wrong Lord and I repent.

I have held back parts of myself from you and from others. I confess that I have not been active in inviting others into our family.

Sometimes I hold back so that at the end of the day, I might have something for myself. Forgive me for not trusting that your way is the way of true life. I have forgotten that your way is better.

A Prayer of Trust:

Lord, I trust that you have secured for me a new identity, a new family, and a new hope. I believe the best is yet to come. We believe Lord.

I trust your new covenant promises. For everyone who accepts the message. For everyone who believes you you have promised full forgiveness, the gift of your Spirit, a welcome into your family with new hearts and a wonderful future.

Lord, I also trust that you have given me grace to share with others in the family. Help me Lord.

A Prayer of Intercession:

Prayer for those getting baptized this Sunday. Thank you for the men, women, and children who are all in on Jesus. Encourage them with your grace. With the promise of the gospel and the pledge they are making on Sunday.

We pray for our small groups and community, that we would devoted to your Word and to one another. For growing relationships of faith, hope, and love.

We pray for the growth of the new covenant community at Heritage and in your church throughout Colquitt County. That we would reflect your priorities. Devotion to your Word. Devotion to one another. Devotion to prayer and remembering your saving work through baptism and communion.

Holy Spirit, grow your family! We want more siblings in Colquitt County! Empower us to be witnesses for you in word and deed. We want to be a healthy and growing family!

A Moment of Reflection:

Holy Spirit, we want to be a passionate and devoted community of disciples. Is there a particular aspect of life together that you are inviting me to press in on in this season?

A Closing Prayer:

Lord, thank you for your Word, Your Spirit, Your People. Your symbols. Prayer. This is how we remember and rejoice in the gospel, reject the lies of our culture, and relate to one another as a growing family.

By the power of the Spirit, I commit myself to you and to your people today. Uphold me I pray,

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
