Tuesday - A Week of Prayers From the New Testament Led by the Children of Heritage Church

Jun 2, 2026

Welcome to daily prayer.

This week, we will pause and reflect on prayers from scripture.

A Scripture reading from Philippians 1:3-11:

"I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you, 4 always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. 7 Indeed, it is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace...9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment, 10 so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God."

Father, I thank you for the people you have placed in my life.

Thank you for every way you have worked in and through them.

Fill my heart with joy and gratitude as I remember your faithfulness.

Thank you for committing the good work you began in me.

Help me trust that you are still shaping me and growing me every day.

Lord, you know how deeply I need you. Grow my love more and more.

Give me wisdom, understanding and discernment so I can recognize what is good and pleasing to you.

Help me live with a pure heart and faithful spirit.

Let my life produce the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.

May everything I say and do bring glory and honor to you.

Prayers of gratitude and adoration:

God, help me understand how much you love me. I know that you will never leave me.

Jesus, you are so so good.

No matter what happens, I can always trust you.

Dear God, thank you for everything that you've done for us and helped us with. Thank you for my family. Thank you for giving me everything I need. Thank you that you have a plan for me.

Help me to follow you. Help me to spread light to the people around me.

A closing prayer from Psalm 19:14:

“May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, oh Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
